Christmas Configurations

Morning all.
Today I have a Christmas Configurations box to share with you.
Over at Crafty Boots Challenges the theme this fortnight is Christmas and so I share with you my configurations book.

I started this configurations book during a workshop at Art From The Heart, taught by the amazing Queen of Distress/Tim Holtz, Kaz Hall. We had a fabaroonie day and here is my make.

The dice are from a Christmas cracker that we had on the day.

I found this snowflake in my stash.

The hanging gems are from a bracelet that broke and for some reason I kept the gems. I thought they looked like snow.

Lots and lots of Ideology used in this project as well as Tim's paper pad and tissue tape. All products are available from Art From The Heart. I did add a few bits of my own though.

Here are some pictures from the class.

I gave Kaz her birthday pressie and some how got a fit of giggles!!!! No idea where they came from but they were proper school girl giggles.

Here is Kaz pressie, she collects vintage bibles/prayer books and this was my first vintage find, so think no one more deserving than this lady.

Thank you all for looking and for you continued support, it truly means a lot to me.
Merry Christmas.

December Calendar Journal

Hi there.

Well I can't believe I have managed a whole year of my Calendar journal, quite proud of myself really :-)

Anyway here is December and it is very mush a Dylusions fest.
All supplies available at Art From The Heart.

The background is Cherry Pie Dylusions ink spray.
The snowflakes are done with a sakura gelly roll pen through the Let it snow 9x12 Dylusions stencil.

The beard is a stamp from Christmas Accessories Dylusions set. I stamped it with Wendy Vecchi Archival ink pad 'watering can' so it wouldn't be quite as dark colour as black.

The lady is of course Pondering Petunia again Dylusions.

She is coloured with Dylusions inks in water brushes.

I used Dy's alphabet to write December.

Here is a full round up of this years calendar journal.

Thank you for coming by today.
Merry Christmas.

Storybook Characters

Morning all and welcome to another Crafty Boots Challenge.
This fortnight is my turn to choose the topic and I chose Storybook Characters.

I have chosen the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.

This is a 8x8 Black card. All the papers are from Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland.

The main image is a digi from Lacy Sunshine called Lizabeth as Queen of Hearts.
I coloured her with my Pro Markers and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The small images are cut from the Halloween in Wonderland papers
and the black gems are from my stash.

The pearls are also from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Remembrance

Morning all.

Well where did October go? Here we are in November already.
Here is my November calendar page.
Still cant quite believe that i am still doing this, almost a year now.

This fortnight over at Crafty Boots the challenge is remembrance and so I decided to do my Calendar page as my design team piece.

This is the background before I added to it. Lush isn't it? I love it. It was created using Amsterdam Paints. I am not a painter at all and have never really taken an interest in paints until I tried these at Art From The Heart. They are amazing and can be used in so many ways. (Awesome price too).

The poppies are from clip-art, I just printed them out and cut them out.

The letters are from Dy's Alphabet set. As many of you know I usually do letters myself but with there being so much black on the background I decided to stamp them onto card and cut them out so they could be seen better.

The main image is from Lacy Sunshine and is called Anastasia  and Poppies. I coloured her with my Pro-Marker pens.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Please feel free to leave a comment I would love to know what you think.
