Dylusions paints class

Morning all.

A few photos to share with you today.

Last month I took a Dylusions paints class with Dyan Reaveley at AFTH.

We were given a small Dylusion journal to work in, and we worked on nothing but backgrounds.

I got most of my pages filled during class then I finished the rest when I got back home.

I have now started work on the details.

Here are a few of the pages I have finished up to now.

May Dylusions Facebook Challenge.

Morning all. 

As it is the first Monday of the month its time for a new Dylusions Facebook challenge. 

This month the challenge is to use Turquoise, Circles and a Character stamp.

Here is my interpretation. 

I have used a page from my journal and also a #12 manila tag from Ranger.

I used Dylusions paints in Vibrant Turquoise and Lemon Zest and brayed them onto the background of both the journal page and the tag, before using Vibrant Turquoise through the Bubbles stencil. I then used the Diamonds stencil with the black Paint.

I then doodled around the circles and the diamonds with a black uni-ball pin pen and a white signo pen. I also doodled the border around the tag. 

The black border on the tag was created with my Journal block and coloured in with the black paint before doodling in white pen.

The quote was from Laugh till you Leak stamp set. 

The stamps used above were from sets:

Ruby Rainbow

Endeavour.

Pin up Queen.

The stamp set used here were:

Shrooms

Escape.

I coloured both characters with a combination of Copic markers and Promarkers.

May Calendar Page

Afternoon all.

Today I have my May art journal calendar page to share with you. 

The background is created using Dylusions paints in Vibrant Turquoise and Lemon Zest. 

I used Dylusions stencils - Bubbles, Squares and Diamonds.

Here I used Daddy Long Legs, Shrooms and Surrender. Coloured with Copics and Promarkers. 

I used the label from Tim Holtz Apothecary set to create the dates. I stamped them with Tim Holtz Distress ink peacock feathers.

Here I used Dylusions stamp sets Shrooms and Escape.

I used Tim Holtz Worn Text stamps to do the month. 

I doodled in the background with posca pens and Uni ball Signo white pens.

Morning all.

Black and White Addiction Continues

Morning all.

I have 2 canvases to share with you today. 

As you will see my black and white addiction is continuing.

Both canvases are covered with Dylusions black paint.  

The first canvas is 8"x12".

I used Shrooms and  Bits of This Dylusions stamp sets. 

I coloured the image in with Promarkers and Copics. I also used a Black Posca pen.

 I used a Signo Uniball White pen to free hand a doodle around the edge and to write the words.

The next canvas is an 8"x8" canvas. 

Here I used Endeavour and Daddy Long Legs Dylusions stamp sets.

I again coloured with Promarkers and Copics.

I really enjoyed making these. They are so quick and easy to do and yet are very striking.

Backgrounds

Morning all.

Just a quick post today but loaded with photos. 

I spent Easter Sunday creating a whole load of backgrounds. I have started a new Dylusions journal and it always feels a bit weird with loads of blank pages in. So I decided to sit down and get rid of the blank pages.

I used a mixture of Dylusions inks and paints, I love how well both products work together on the same page.
