Journal Writing Class

At the weekend I was teaching at Art From The Heart
and we were doing quick journal backgrounds and then writing on them.
A lot of people say to me that they can not write on their journal pages,
many just don't know where to start.

Here are some of what we were creating.

In the class was Maisie and it appears she has the journal writing bug.
Here she is after she got home from the class, all set for the evening.

How awesome is this?

Here are a couple of her fabulous finished pages.
I am sure you will agree at how fantastic these are.

Unfortunately she doesn't want to stop and go to bed.

My next time at AFTH is preview day, You can book your £5.00 Taster session with me here
My next class is in January and is Black and White journaling.
You can book a place here

Dylusions Christmas Cards.

The Dylusions range has a new stamp and stencil set out for Christmas 2015.

Stocking Fillers.

Here are some samples I have made with my set.
Using some mixed media card stock i created some backgrounds. Here I used London Blue and Vibrant Turquoise inks. I then used the new snowflake stencil with vibrant turquoise dylusions paint.

I hand drew the border and added my own Merry Christmas to the right-hand side one.

I decided to leave the images black and white as a contrast to the bright background.

The next set were created in the same style as above but this time I used Cherry Pie and Squeezed Orange inks. With the new Holly stencil I used Cut Grass paint.

This time I coloured my images with my ProMarkers and Copics.

This is a fantastic set of stamps, great for creating fast Christmas cards. These took no time at all to create.

All Dylusions can be purchased at Art From The Heart.

GDT Saturated Canary

Morning all.

I can still hardly believe it but earlier in the week I found out I am to be on the Saturated Canary Design Team as a Guest Designer. My term will run from October to January.
I am so very excited, I love Saturated Canary Digi Stamps and have used them for quite a few years now, so to be apart of the team is such a honour.

Here is my piece that I have created for them.

As per my style it is a page in my Dylusions Journal.

The background is created with Dylusions inks in Squeezed Orange and Slate Grey.

The main image is "Vampire Bride" from Saturated Canary. Coloured with ProMarker pens.

The border is a Dylusions Stencil

The spiders and the web are from Dylusions "Bits and Bats" stamp set.

The writing is my own and done with a Posca pen.

Here are my 2 entries for the Guest Design Team post.

The first is created with "For The Birds" (This stamp is no longer available).

This page is using the "Coffee App" stamp.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Crafty Boots Challenge - Pink

Morning all.

Over at Crafty Boots, the challenge is Pink.

Here is my take on the challenge.

This page has been created in my new 8x8 Dylusions Journal.

The background is created using Dylusions inks,
 Bubblegum Pink and Squeezed Orange.

I did some ghosting with Dylusions stencils.

I also sprayed ink through the stencil.

The character is created from several Dylusions stamps sets. (See end of the post for a list).

I coloured the character with a combination of Copic markers and Promarker pens.

Using the Dylusions journal block I created the border which I painted in with Dylusions black paint.

Then using a white pen I edged the black border.

The writing is my own and I used a posca pen to create it.
(If you would like to learn more about writing in your journals, I will be teaching a class at Art From The Heart in November all about writing. Details at the end of the post).

Stamps sets used:
Endeavour.
Escape.
Shrooms.
Travelling Travis
All supplies can be found HERE.

My next class is Saturday 21st November and we will be concentrating on writing in our journals. So many people say they have no idea where to start with writing in their journals. I will take you through writing styles, techniques and where to put your writing on the page.
