Out of your comfort zone

Morning all and welcome to another Crafty Boots Challenge. This fortnight it is set by Tracie and for this you need to step outside your comfort zone. So it could be anything as long as it is not some thing you do alot of.
For me I've put away my journal and all things paper and gone for metal and shrink plastic.OK i know alot of people love shrink plastic but to be honest i hate it! Love how it looks and what it can do, just that i cant do it, well not very well anyway. Here is my attempt and to be honest i am fairly pleased.

Here i have shrunk Curious Corrin from my Dylusions set of the same name. Her legs are a bit wonky because they stuck together, lol. See i told you i wasn't any good with it.

I found a gem, a key and a cross in my stash. The wing and the mushroom are both from the Doolally Dorris Dylusions set and done again on shrink plastic.

Just to show you how much it has shrunk here is the original stamp next to the shrink plastic version.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Here is another 8x8 card from Kanban. The plain backing card is from Bazzill basics 12x12 range.
The patterned paper is from Blonde Moments 'sugar dumpling' collection.

The main image is from Sherri Baldy's Besties collection of digi stamps. This one is called Nellie & Dot the Dragon and I coloured her with Pro-Markers.

The gems and flowers are all from my stash.

Besties digi stamps

Morning all from a sunny East Yorkshire, its lovely to see the sun shining again and not grey cloudy sky's.
Today i have a valentines card to show you.
This card is using a new set of digi stamps i found called Besties, fabulous aren't they? They are created by the lovely Sherri, please checkout her blog here for loads of inspiration. This is the first time i have used them but am sure you will see some more of these in my crafting.
This stamp is called 'Hearts a Flutter' and can be found here.

I started with a blank Kanban 8x8 card, The red matting is using Bazzil 12x12 card stock.
The black and white background papers are from Blonde Moments collection

I coloured the images with Pro- markers and added gems from my stash in both black and red.

I found the word peel offs in my stash, forgot i had these as it is very rare i use peel offs these days.

Thank you for looking.

Valentines

Morning all from a rather wet East Yorkshire.

Well its that time again, Valentines is almost here and one of the lads from Hubby's work asked me to create something for his girlfriend and this is my creation.

This lovely little girl is from Saturated Canary and is called Angel among us. She is so very sweet isn't she? I coloured her with Pro markers.

This is the inside, all the patterned papers are from Blonde Moments sugar dumpling collection, they are fantastic papers with such texture.

Open again and this is what pops out at you. I used 12x12 papers here but have also used 8x8 to create this.

A closer look at the inside. The hearts are cut from more Blonde Moments papers.

Here is the back cover. The plain paper is Bazzil card stock 12x12.

Thank you for taking the time to pop over and have a look at my latest creation.

Blue and White - No red!

Morning all and welcome to another Crafty boots challenge. This week the lovely Zoe has chosen the theme of Blue and White - no red.
You would not believe how hard this was, just sooo wanted to add a tiny bit of red, but i didn't. I was a good girl and i do hope Zoe is proud of me?

Here is my offering, you guessed it, its another page in my creative journal.

The inspiration for this is not my own, it is a step by step project from 'My Creative Journal Journey' book by the lovely Dyan Reaveley. So for all the details please check it out.

After i had done this my fabby hubby surprised me with the new Dylusions inks. Ooh these new colours are awesome and so i quickly used the new after midnight and Calypso Teal on the background of another page and used the new Dylusions under the sea stamp sets.

I used pondering petunia as my mermaid and gave her jelly fish hair.

The small fish are from the oceans background set and the larger fishes are from under the sea set.

The dirty martini ink is used to colour  the reeds.

Thank you for looking and good luck if you enter the new challenge.
