No Girls Allowed

Morning all, wow Christmas Eve already! Where has this year gone?
Over at Crafty Boots Challenges it is my turn to set the challenge (my first time so please be gentle).
I have set "Lads Tags - No Girls Allowed". Here is my tag.

I started with a #12 tag from Ranger in Manila, sprayed with Dylusions inks in Squeezed Orange and Postbox Red. The border around the edge was created with a stamp from the Dylusions set 'Around the Edge', which i coloured with Cut Grass and Postbox Red , adding highlights with a Sakura Gelly roll pen.

The main image is from La La Land Crafts and is 'Pirate Luka'. I coloured him with Pro markers in the following colours:
Cool Grey 2,3,4,5, Gold, Blush, Tea Green, Tulip Yellow.
Poppy, Cardinal Red, Crimson, Ruby.
Pear green, Apple Cider, Henna, Chestnut.
Tan, Cinnamon, Burnt Sienna, Tawny Owl.

The bunting is created from Dylusions stamp set 'Bags of Bunting' and coloured with Dylusions inks as mentioned above.

Thank you for looking and a very Merry Christmas to you. Best of luck if you enter the challenge.

AFTH preview day

Morning all.
Well Saturday saw the Art From The Heart preview day. What a fabby day it was too. A chance to catch up with inky buddies and do some crafty inky stuff too.

Here is my Inky buddy Michelle, please checkout her blog to see her amazing artwork. We don't catch up enough but its always funny when we do.

This lady is the amazing Dyan, Queen of all things Dylusional. She is holding an awesome card made by Michelle.

This is of course the gorgeous Kaz, this lady is sooo lovely, it is thanks to her and her brilliant blog that i am on my art journey. She truly is a talented lady, but don't take my word for it, please check out her blog here

Oooops forgot the mistletoe, must be the Christmas Sherry.

Well we did get down to some crafting and i ended up with inky hands as usual. But to be fair they are not as messy as normal.

This fab piece was made by Kaz for her class (mine isn't finished yet but will post when i do). I am still rather giddy as Kaz gave this piece to me, whoop whoop i own a piece of Kaz's work, soooo excited.

This is Kate Crane's class, we were making bunting but again mine isn't finished so will post when i have.

This is what it should look like when done, this is one Kate's finished bunting.

Here is the lovely Kate with the other bunting and her fabby headboppers on.

Anyway, time to go, still lots to do for Christmas. Will leave you with my entry for Dyan's latest challenge.

oh and a quick Xmas page.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Christmas Journal

Morning all, over at Crafty Boots this fortnight the theme is Christmas and here is my interpretation.
This journal spread is created in my Creative Journal from Dyan Reaveley. I can not recommend this journal highly enough, it is out of this world. It has been created by a lovely lady with a passion for journaling and she has ticked all those boxes that we would like in a journal.

The under page is created using Dylusions Postbox Red spray, the top page is done using Squeezed Orange, Lemon Zest and Postbox Red. Cut Grass was added with a stencil over the top once all the background was dry.

Stamps used all Dylusions:
Christmas Borders
Curious Corrin.
Pondering Petunia
Bits of This

Stencils used all Dylusions:
Starry Starry Night.
Let it Snow
Ho Ho Holly

These tags are Manilla Tags #8, i used a combination of Dylusions and Stampotique stamps.

On the back of each tag I have written 'T'was the night before Xmas' poem.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

Black White and one colour

This tag is created using the new #12 tags from Ranger and is the Manila version.
I sprayed it with Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions inks, then i placed the Let it Snow stencil over the top and spritzed through with water to create a ghosted effect.

The lady is the fabulous Curious Corrin from the Dylusions stamp set of the same name. I then used a water brush filled with Dylusions Black Marble ink to colour her in, except for her eyes which are vibrant turquoise. The hat is from the Dylusions Christmas Accessories set.

The words are from the Christmas Sayings Dylusions set. Where i had sprayed the water, bleaching out the colour i went around the edges with a white sakura gelly roll pen.

The lights are created from a stamp from the Christmas Borders set again from Dylusions and coloured with Black Marble ink.
I then went over the top with glossy accents.

The border at the bottom is created from the Let it Snow stencil, just went through it with a black pen and then highlighted it with the white gelly roll pen.

Thank you for looking.

Pink Girl

Afternoon all, hope you are well and are not affected too much by the weather we are having?
This card is for my God-daughter, Megan.

The base card is from Kanban. The plain card stock is from Bazzil Basics Tropical set. The patterned paper is from Blonde Moments Sugar Dumpling set. Love this set of paper, not a massive pink fan normally but this is lush, just like sweeties. The distressed look on it is fabulous too.

The Main image is from Saturated Canary called Thank You, isn't she lovely? I coloured her with the following pro markers:
Lavender, Lilac, Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Twilight Sky.
Black, Cool Grey 5 and 3.
Blossom, Pink Carnation, Hot Pink, Cerise.

The gems are from my stash. The number stamp is from Aly's Inky Fingers and the letters are from Dimension Stamps.

Thank you for looking. Have a good day.

For the front of the clipboard,  i used the leaves stamp from Further Around the Edge Dylusions stamp set. Along with a stamps from the following sets:

Tag/Invitation

Morning all. Crafty Boots Challenge this fortnight is an invitation/ tag. I couldn't make up my mind so chose to share both.
This invitation was created for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. All Mum said she wanted was something simple but effective.
The card is a 6x6 blank, the corner stamp is from what was Dimension Fourth and is stamped in Fired Brick Tim Holtz Distress ink.
The centre is again a stamp from what was Dimensions Fourth, stamped in black memento ink with the butterfly and the flower coloured with Poppy pro marker pen.

My second piece is a No 12 Manila tag from Ranger. The background is all Dylusions inks in squeezed orange, pure sunshine and postbox red. I also used cut grass through the Dylusions stencil let it snow. The black is through the same stencil but was done with pitch black paint dabber.
The stamp around the edge of the tag is from the Dylusions 'Inbetweenies' set.

The main image is a bit of a mixture of 'body parts' and are from the following sets:
Head - Bits of this
Hair - Doodle Parts
Wings - Doolally Dorris
Body - Ruby Rainbow
The frog is from Pondering Petunia and his hat is from the Christmas accessories set. The words are from the Christmas words and the baubles hanging from the coat are from the Christmas border set. The baubles are attached with alternate red and green brads that i found in my stash.
Finally i added some red stickles to the ends of the eyelashes and to the bobble on the frogs hat, giving it a bit of Christmas bling.
Thank you for looking and good luck with the Crafty Boots challenge.

Inspiration/CASE study

Stampotique's Challenge this week is to be inspired by someone else's work. I chose a piece by Magda Polakow as my inspiration. Her journal page with the' line up' stamp struck a cord and so here is my creation.

The background was created with mop up of Dylusions inks.

Here is the 'line up' stamp surrounded by spiders from Dylusions 'bits of this' stamp set and Holly border from Xmas borders stamp set, again from Dylusions.

Here is 'Tangled Enthusiasm' and 'Daniel's tree topper' stamps.

The border was created with a stencil from Dylusions called ho ho holly.

Thanks for looking.
