Tweet Tweet

Morning all. This is my design team piece for this fortnights challenge over at Crafy Boots. the theme is Tweet Tweet so just have to feature birds of any kind.

I started with a No 8 Manilla tag from Ranger.
I used Dylusions spray inks in cut grass and lemon zest to create the background.
The border is from the inbetweenies Dylusions set.

The owl is Abbie Owl from Dawn Bibby and was stamped onto an old book page and coloured with Dylusions fresh lime ink.
The hat is from Dylusions set Doolally Dorris and coloured with vibrant turquoise dylusions ink.

The solid leaves are again Dylusions and are from Doodle parts set.
The words are also dylusions and are from quintessential quotes set.
All the white highlights are created with a white POSCA pen.

Thanks for looking.

WOYWW

Well here we are again at Wednesday, so time once again for some crafty hopping to see what other crafters desks look like. This is all thanks to the stamping ground, so please hop over to the blog to find out what its all about.

Well here is my desk this week. Nice and clean, lol. I have had a massive sort out that took me 2 days. Believe it or not i have got rid of loads of stuff (or i will have when i work out how to sell things on ebay)

This is to be todays project. As can see my dlusions inks have pride of place on my desk.

Made space on my 1st shelf for my precious dylusions stamps, so i dont have to put them away.

Hung up my tags that i have either finished or are half done. Really lovely to see them whenever i look up. Helps with the inspiration.

Finally here is my 'little' collection of journal books.

Thanks everyone for stopping by. Hope you have a fabaroonie WOYWW.

Summer Holiday

This fortnight the theme over at Crafty Boots Challenge is 'postcards', set by Gabrielle. Here is my interpretation of this theme.
This is a double spread in my journal. The background is created with Tim Holtz Distress inks Salty Ocean from the Summer limited edition set and Squeezed Lemonade from the Spring limited edition set. Both sets can be found at Crafty Boots.

The main image here is from Dylusions Pondering Petunia stamp set. All the colouring throughout the pages is done with Promarkers in Blush, Sky Blue and Summer Sun (LE set Summer)

The little girl image here is from The Paper Shelter and is called Summer Game.

The other Dylusions stamp sets used are:
Inbetweenies.
Doodle Parts.
Ruby Rainbow.

The letters are from Aly's Inky Fingers and i have doodle over the top. The shell and seagull are from what was Dimensions Fourth (Please see Aly's Inky Fingers)

Thank you for looking.

A Dylusional Day

Well I have had rather a Dylusional day today, must be preperation  for my first Art Journaling Workshop at Art From the Heart on Sunday with the very talented Dyan. I am so excited, feels like Christmas and birthday all at once, he he.
Anyway here are todays creations.

Started by creating some backing paper. Here i used London Blue and Vibrant Turquoise. Only sprayed once, the rest is water and mop up.

This is the card i created with the background paper, can't show you the other one as its for someone and they havent recieved it yet, lol. I used Dylusions stamps here from Pondering Petunia, Bits of this and Further around the edge.

This tag is done using the bleaching out technique that I saw Dyan do in a video. As you can see it has removed the colour from the leaves.

Here is the finished tag with the leaves coloured in with bubblegum pink ink.

This is another tag i created using the bleaching technique. Here i bleached out not only the leaves but also the wellies and the 2 small mushrooms and then coloured them in with Dylusions inks.

Not a bad day all together, lots of fun and very very inky fingers. What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah only 2 more sleeps till my workshop, whoop whoop.

Thanks for looking.

WOYWW

Well its Wednesday again, really not sure where last week went !! Anyway its time for us crafters to hop around the world looking in on fellow crafters workspace courtesy of The Stamping Ground.

Here is my desk this week, bit messy but having fun.

The standard kitchen roll is out when working with Dylusions inks.

This is the journal page i am currently working on, inbetween making none inky xmas cards:(
Finally got some waterbrushes so i can colour with my Dylusions ink.

Dylusions stamps being used this week not just sat on the side.

Those whose saw my desk last week will have seen the silly postie pics, well now it has become a standing joke here. Checkout the parcel sent to me by the fabbie talented Michelle over at The Hobby Room.

Michelle had a trip to Art From the Heart (was very jealous as i couldnt attend) and found this 8x8 paper pad for me that i have been hunting for. We believe this may have been the last one left in the UK!!! She is such a fabaroonie crafty buddy because look what else she sent me too. An awesome set of Oz collage stamps, can't wait to get started with them.

Thank you for looking and happy WOYWW.
